How We Work:

We collaborate with organizations, youth groups, school clubs, and communities to advocate for education rights, systemic improvements, and youth empowerment. Through public awareness campaigns, we mobilize support for marginalized groups.

Our Impacts:

Our projects have benefited over 1,200 beneficiaries, including children, teachers, and youth, through distribution of school learning materials, capacity-building training, and other supports. We have 15 volunteers working across schools and communities support us. We are currently planting 1000 trees in schools premises and distributing 2000 GOOD CHOICES BOOK in schools to promote quality education in Sierra Leone.

Challenges

A. Lack of Training Center & Equipment: This hinders our leadership programs, reducing effectiveness and sustainability of our projects. B. Lack of Funding opportunities: Since 2022, SLEA has relied on member contributions, and we are lacking resources to secure office space, training center or run our administrative costs. Despite our challenges, SLEA remains committed to transforming education and youth development in Sierra Leone. With greater support, we can expand our impact and create lasting change in Sierra Leone.
